Charlotte spent a lot of time pressing the buttons on the safe in our NY hotel room.
The train ride to New York wasn’t too bad with Charlotte on the way down. She played in her seat a lot and looked at books, and ran up and down the aisles. She was pretty worn out and cranky on the way back, though.
We went to FAO Schwarz when we were in New York and Charlotte played on the big piano.
We took a trip on the train to New York City last week. We did a lot of walking around, went to the children’s museum, natural history museum, the Met, and ate lots of great food.
Charlotte watched the ice skaters.
We went to the Museum of Natural History and saw the dinosaurs.
This is the Egyptian temple at the Met.
Mealtimes just keep getting messier around here. Charlotte really likes to stir things lately, though drinking out of the bowl is something new. The knocking at the end was the pizza delivery guy. PIzza is one of Charlotte’s favorite foods, especially when it has olives on it.
Charlotte is very interested in all things related to cleaning. Every night after dinner, she walks over to the dustbuster and points and grunts until we clean up around her chair. She also picks up things from the floor and puts them in the trash–and then sometimes takes them back out. This was the first time she actually got her hands on the mop.
Charlotte really likes to drink out of my water glass. She is finally drinking some milk–soy milk–but only out of a regular cup, not a sippy cup (we got her some small plastic glasses after she broke a few of ours). The doctor recommended that we put Carnation Instant Breakfast in Charlotte’s soy milk to help fatten her up, and she loves the chocolate flavor.
Charlotte likes her jingly new toy apple, which is part of a little toy grocery bag.
